So your shoes are little bit too small yet not small enough to warrant buying a brand new pair of shoes. This is when a shoe stretcher is a great way to save you money and get those small shoes to fit your feet properly again. But a shoe stretcher will not work on all shoes and you may need to apply a shoe stretcher liquid to the shoe to get it to stretch out enough for you.

Shoe stretchers work best on natural shoe materials like leather and suede. These types of shoes tend to stretch out easier and actually hold their size once you use the stretcher on them. But in order to do so you may need to provide a liquid substance first.

This shoe stretcher liquid will absorb nicely into the leather and loosen it up enough for the material to stretch out without ripping or tearing. If you just try to stretch the shoes out right out of the box, you certainly do risk ripping that leather because they aren’t going to be broken in yet and will be very tight and non-stretchable.

To apply the shoe stretcher liquid you will just need to spray it on the shoes and let it absorb before you use the shoe stretcher on them. But each liquid will work only on the material it’s made to work for. So be sure that you buy the liquid that is made to work on the material of your own shoes. The wrong liquid could discolor the shoes and ruin them before you even get the chance to try and stretch them out.
